Miramar is considered one of the most classic residential areas of San Juan developed in the early 1900s as an upscale centrally located residential area consisting mainly of single-family residences. It is located to the south of the Condado Lagoon, east of the San Juan Bay, north of Fernandez Juncos Avenue and west of Cerra Street.

With the passage of time, and the approval of the condominium form of ownership in Puerto Rico, Miramar became a desirable sector for the development of higher density and multistory residential properties.
